Huvis (CEO Kim, Suk Hyun, 079980), specializing in chemical and fiber materials, announced that it will host the R&D Solution Fair 2025 to introduce its new technologies and products, and share customer needs and market trends.
First launched in 2020 under the philosophy “The future of materials also lies in the market,” the R&D Solution Fair is an annual event where Huvis meets with major customers to introduce its R&D direction and updates on new product development, and discuss materials quality improvement and technical challenges in the field.
Marking its sixth year, the event will be held throughout May, divided into customer site visits and invitation events at the Huvis R&D Center, with the theme of “S.H.E. (Safety, Health, Environment) materials that elevate the value of life.”
In line with its new Eco-Friendly White Paper, the company will showcase its diverse eco-friendly product lineup, including the eco-friendly vegan suede ‘Feeliv,’ which addresses the global interior design trend of phasing out animal leather, and the eco-friendly padding filler ‘Polarfil,’ which replaces duck and goose down. The company also plans to introduce next-generation automotive materials and technologies, including the world's first chemically recycled LMF (Low Melting Fiber) ‘Ecoever LM’ and polypropylene alternative polyester ‘P-POL.’
It will also share its R&D achievements, including the diversified applications of its cooling fiber ‘Duraron-Cool,’ which sees a surge in demand every summer, and ‘ecoen,’ a biodegradable polyester fiber proven to biodegrade within three years according to the ASTM D5511 (landfill biodegradation) and ASTM D6691 (marine biodegradation) standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and ‘meta aramid electrical insulation sheet,’ which delays thermal runaway in electric vehicle batteries. The event will also provide an opportunity to listen to feedback from the field and incorporate it into future developments.
“The R&D Solution Fair is a valuable opportunity to share our commitment to sustainability and technological innovation with our customers. We will continue to keep our eye on market changes and listen to our customers to become a company with market-leading R&D capabilities,” said Park, Seong Yoon, director of the Huvis R&D Center.
