Huvis Celebrates the Start of Fiscal Year 2025 and Implements Organizational Restructuring

2025-01-02

- Expansion of competitive and differentiated products and cost innovation emphasized to achieve turnaround
- Company-wide reorganization focuses on organizational optimization and greater efficiency

Huvis (079980, CEO Kim, Suk Hyun), specializing in chemical and fiber materials, held a 2025 opening ceremony on January 2 at its headquarters in Nonhyeon-dong with more than 100 employees in attendance.

“The past year has been a period of breathless running with the top priority of normalizing the company’s performance,” said Kim, Suk Hyun, CEO of Huvis, at the opening ceremony. “As a result of the hard work of all employees to accomplish the core tasks, we started commercial production of chemically regenerated LMF (low melting fiber) Ecoever LM and sales of differentiated products such as cooling fiber Duraron-Cool to finally achieve a meaningful positive EBITDA.” He added, “Although we expect a challenging environment this year, including global supply chain risks, economic downturn, and high foreign exchange rates, we are determined to make 2025 the year of turnaround.”

To achieve this, Kim emphasized the expansion of competitive, differentiated products and cost innovation through operational optimization. “We need to increase the share of our flagship products in North America and Europe, as well as in the growing Asian market, and accelerate sales of eco-friendly and high-performance products to lay the foundation for sustainable growth. We need to drive continuous cost innovation by identifying inefficiencies and re-setting targets for operational optimization,” said Kim.

Huvis has restructured its organization to optimize core functions and ensure efficiency in 2025. The marketing organization has been restructured to expand sales markets and focus on high-margin differentiated products, and efficiency has been enhanced through flexible and resilient management. In addition, the Jeonju Site will eliminate inefficiencies by consolidating similar overlapping functions, and the Daejeon R&D Center will focus on differentiation and eco-friendly R&D capabilities to enhance competitiveness.
