Huvis Jeonju Plant Donates Books and Supplies to Help Improve Educational Environment in Jeonbuk Province

2024-06-03

The Jeonju Plant (General Manager Baek Seung-deok) of Huvis, specializing in chemical and fiber materials, announced on June 3 that it held a donation ceremony for books and supplies as part of its “2024 Hope for the Better” initiative to improve the educational environment of elementary schools in Jeonbuk.

The ceremony was held at Baekwoon Elementary School (Principal Kim Hye-sook) located in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, where bedding sets made of the company’s textile materials were delivered to students in need, and donations were also made. The donation will be used to repair old facilities such as desks and playgrounds, improve the environment of indoor and outdoor learning centers, and replace old textbooks.

As part of its social contribution program, Hope for the Better, Huvis is taking the lead in improving the educational environment of elementary schools in Jeollabuk-do. This year, the company plans to support Baekwoon Elementary School in Jinan-gun, Sannuk Elementary School in Gunsan-si, Sintaein Elementary School in Jeongeup-si, and Samgye Elementary School in Imsil-gun.

“We hope to help create an educational environment for students to learn and work in a better environment,” said Baek Seung-deok, General Manager of Huvis Jeonju Plant. “Huvis will continue to contribute to the local community through social contribution activities.”

Every year, Huvis practices ESG-driven operations by engaging in a wide range of social contribution activities for the underprivileged neighbors as part of its “Hope for the Better” initiative, including improving the living environment, donating uniforms and delivering briquettes. (The End)
