Huvis Hosts 2024 R&D Solution Fair, Sharing Eco-friendly and Automotive Material Technologies with Clients

2024-05-10

- Events will be held through customer visits and invitations throughout May
- Focused on mutual growth by listening to and incorporating customer feedback

Huvis (CEO Kim, Suk Hyun, 079980), specializing in chemical and fiber materials, announced on the 10th the commencement of the “2024 R&D Solution Fair.” The fair aims to introduce the company’s latest technologies and products while understanding customer needs and market trends.

The R&D Solution Fair, founded on the philosophy that “the future of materials lies in the market,” has been held annually since 2020. The event involves meetings with major clients to present Huvis’ R&D direction and current new product developments and to discuss material quality improvements and technical challenges encountered in the field.

Marking its fifth year, this event will run throughout May under the theme “S.H.E (Safety, Health, Environment) Material Technology Innovation Platform.” It will include customer visits and invitation events at the Huvis R&D Center. The fair will highlight Huvis’ eco-friendly strategies, as detailed in the annually published Eco-friendly White Paper. It will showcase next-generation automotive materials such as the chemical recycled LMF (Low Melting Fiber) ‘Ecoever LM’ and the high-heat-resistant PET ‘P-POL’ designed for easier recycling through material unification.

Additionally, the fair will share a range of R&D achievements, including the expanded portfolio of the cooling fiber ‘DURARON-Cool’ – which sees a surge in demand every summer – and the development of new construction and elastic materials. These sessions will also provide an opportunity to gather and incorporate feedback from the field.

Through the past four R&D Solution Fairs, Huvis has achieved visible results, including the commercial launch of the biodegradable PET fiber ‘Ecoen,’ which decomposes within three years under landfill conditions (ASTM D5511), and the development of ‘Meta Aramid Electrical Insulation Paper’ that delays thermal runaway in electric vehicle batteries, recognized as a top-tier company achievement in 2023.

Park Sung-yoon, Head of the R&D Center, remarked, “The annual R&D Fair has been instrumental in demonstrating Huvis’ unique technological capabilities and continuous research and development achievements. It has strengthened our R&D competitiveness through direct communication with our customers. Despite challenging internal and external environments, we are committed to advancing alongside our customers.” (End)
