Specializing in chemical and fiber materials, Huvis (CEO Kim, Suk Hyun, 079980) announced its participation in ‘Techtextil 2024,’ an industrial materials exhibition held from April 23 to 26 in Frankfurt, Germany, as it aims to penetrate the global materials market.
Techtextil, held biennially since 1986, is the world’s largest industrial materials exhibition, attracting over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and over 40,000 visitors. Renowned material companies such as Germany’s BASF, Austria’s Lenzing, Japan’s Toray, and numerous domestic and international firms participate to showcase new products, strengthen business networks, and share specialized knowledge and experiences.
Since its sixth appearance in 2013, Huvis will showcase ten products, including eco-friendly/high-performance differentiated materials, super fibers, and industrial materials. The exhibition will prominently feature new automotive materials, including ‘Ecoever LM’ and ‘P-POL,’ underscoring Huvis’ efforts to lead the next-generation automotive material market.
Ecoever LM is the world’s first ‘chemical recycled LMF (Low Melting Fiber)’ product, developed using chemically recycled plastic waste. LMF melts at low temperatures and bonds various materials. It is widely used in automotive interior components such as dashboards, headliners, seats, and door trims.
Unlike physical recycling, which degrades in quality with repeated recycling, chemical recycling decomposes PET polymers into small molecules and repolymerizes them, maintaining quality even with repeated recycling. This innovative, eco-friendly process can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by half, depending on the content of recycled materials.
P-POL offers higher heat resistance and dimensional stability than typical PET, making it suitable for various automotive interior and exterior components such as wheel guards, headliners, and underbodies. To comply with the European ELV (End of Life Vehicle) regulations effective from 2031, which require material unification in automotive parts, P-POL provides a potential replacement for currently used PP (Polypropylene) in automotive interiors and exteriors.
In addition, Huvis will introduce a wide range of products at Techtextil 2024, including ▲Ecoen, biodegradable PET, ▲Duraron-Cool, high-performance cooling fiber, ▲MiniMax, short-cut fiber product, ▲Purever, premium hygiene material, ▲Meta One, meta-aramid, ▲Zeta One, PPS fiber, ▲Lomela, low-melting-point bonding fiber, and ▲Triron, high-strength PET yarn.
CEO Kim, Suk Hyun of Huvis stated, “We are pleased to showcase Huvis’ exceptional quality and technology in the European market, where regulations and interest in automotive material products are high. This exhibition will be an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing customers and attract new ones, thereby enhancing Huvis’ global competitiveness.” (End)
