Huvis Executes 2024 Kick-Off Ceremony and Organizational Restructuring

2024-01-02

In 2024, Huvis commits to enhancing its business portfolio and operational efficiency to improve profitability.
Comprehensive organizational restructuring to boost efficiency and flexibility, accelerating crisis recovery efforts.

Huvis, a leading chemical fiber material company (079980, CEO Shin You Dong), held its 2024 kick-off ceremony on January 2nd at its Nonhyeon-dong headquarters, attended by over 100 employees.

The newly appointed CEO, Kim Seok-hyun, reflecting on the past year during the ceremony, said, "Last year was a struggle in the most challenging business environment we've ever faced. Despite this, we completed the world's first chemical-recycled LMF (Low Melting Fiber) development and are on the brink of commercialization. We were also recognized as a leading company in components and materials for our meta-aramid super fibers, marking significant strides in our continuous growth." He emphatically urged, "Just as Sacheon Huvis (a subsidiary in China) successfully turned around through differentiated marketing, I urge Huvis to focus on recovering profitability in 2024."

To achieve this, CEO Kim emphasized the need for innovation in cost management by advancing the business portfolio and enhancing operational efficiency. "It's crucial to continually develop high-value products like automotive materials and eco-friendly materials, as differentiated products can always shift to regular items," he stressed, urging a transformation into an organization that boldly eliminates inefficient or unnecessary tasks and focuses on performance.

In 2024, Huvis implemented a comprehensive organizational restructuring to overcome challenges and enhance the competitiveness of its core businesses. Under the new leadership, the company streamlined its structure for faster decision-making and consolidated marketing organizations around key markets Huvis focuses on, thereby enhancing efficiency. The company plans to elevate work efficiency and synergy by integrating its seven divisions into six and reducing the number of teams from 35 to 28.

Furthermore, Huvis has reorganized its Jeonju plant by integrating similar and overlapping functions to focus on core activities. It has also restructured its research institute for rapid and flexible R&D, taking steps to overcome challenges and enhance competitiveness. (End)
