On October 18, Huvis (CEO Shin You-dong, 079980), specializing in chemical and fiber materials, announced that it will participate in the Tech Inside Show 2023 to be held at KINTEX in Goyang City, Gyeonggi-do, for three days from October 18th to 20th and showcase various automotive materials, including key automotive materials for electric vehicles.

The Tech Inside Show is the only industrial value chain exhibition in Korea organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and marks its third year after 2021 and 2022. Over 280 companies, including outstanding providers of materials, parts, and equipment, anchor tenants of specialized complexes, and government agencies, will participate in the exhibition, attracting over 15,000 visitors; the tech event will present various programs, such as export consultation and technology forums and presentations on new business opportunities, to promote products and technologies and link them to business.

Selected as an outstanding provider of materials, parts, and equipment last March, Huvis will showcase its meta-aramid electrical insulator, which is used as a core material for key EV components, such as batteries, motors, and generators. A meta-aramid electrical insulator can improve the safety of electric vehicle passengers with its high heat resistance, flame retardancy, and excellent electric insulation, but Korea is fully dependent on import for meta-aramid electrical insulators. In 2009, Huvis became the first to commercialize meta-aramid in Korea, and it has also secured global top-notch performance and certification by successfully developing a paper-type insulator, which requires more advanced technology than a fiber-type one.

Applications of the meta-aramid electrical insulator are not limited to electric vehicles but extend to various industries such as electrical and electronics, energy and environment, and aerospace. Huvis plans to enter the global market with the goal of becoming the world's second-strongest brand in the industry by 2028.

Huvis will also showcase various automotive materials at the show, including PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) fiber, which is one of the super fibers, ECOPET, a PET lightweight foam material, and high-performance composite/applied products based on meta-aramid. The automotive industry is recently seeking to reduce the types of materials to improve the recyclability of materials, and aligned with this global trend, the materials presented by Huvis are attracting the attention of overseas buyers.
