Chemical fiber company, Huvis (President Shin Yoo-dong, 079980), will launch its new functional fiber brand, Wellever, in an effort to strengthen its lineup of highly functional products, the company announced on the 8th.
As a combination of ‘Well’ and ‘Ever,’ the brand name Wellever has the meaning of always keeping you well. The comma element in the logo represents ‘rest, safety, and health,’ highlighting the smartness and health related aspect of the brand’s products.
The first product to be launched under this new brand is Wellever-Z, which has been developed using zinc oxide. As zinc oxide is a skin-friendly material that is non-toxic, causes less irritation for the skin, and blocks UV rays effectively, it is used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical products (ointments, medicated patches, etc.), and antibacterial filters. After working on the development of highly functional products, Huvis succeeded in launching Wellever-Z, the first fiber product using zinc oxide in Korea.
Wellever-Z has proven its skin-friendliness and safety through the acquisition of Dermatest certification, a famous German skin test program known for its stringent standards, and by also performing well at the UV protection test conducted by FITI with the result of 95.5% UV protection. Wellever-Z is currently used in some parts (backrest, seat board, etc.) of products made by a famous chair brand, which are soon to be released in the market. The company plans to develop additional applications for the product, such as air purifier filters, baby clothes, and facial masks.
A source from Huvis said, “To satisfy the ever-increasing consumer needs for safe and skin-friendly products, we’ve launched our new functional fiber brand Wellever. In addition to Wellever-Z, which makes use of zinc oxide, we will expand our Wellever portfolio by strengthening our R&D efforts on various functional products, including anti-allergy, heated, and deodorization products.” (The end)
