Chemical fiber company, Huvis, held a ceremony for its Hope Raising Book/Supply Donation campaign for eight elementary schools located in Jeollabuk-do, the company said on the 13th. The event was held at Namgwan Elementary School in Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do.
This event was held in the presence of people from both Huvis Jeonju site and Namgwan school, with the company delivering bedding and support funds to students from underprivileged families.
The beneficiaries of this campaign were selected based on a survey that was conducted targeting elementary schools recommended by the Jeollabukdo Office of Education. The support funds delivered to each of those schools will be used to repair old facilities, such as desks and playgrounds, improve libraries or build experiential zones.
“With the growing importance of healthy and pleasant education environments, we hope that this campaign will contribute to creating a better educational environment for the students,” said Ko Sung-wook, the plant manager of the Huvis Jeonju site. “We will strive to become a company that supports local communities with more various social contribution activities."
Every year, Huvis actively engages in its ESG management, conducting various social contribution campaigns, including ‘Greater Hope Housing Improvement,’ ‘Greater Hope Uniform Donation,’ and ‘Greater Hope Briquette Delivery.’ (The end)
