Specializing in chemical materials, Huvis (CEO Shin, You Dong, 079980) will hold the ‘Dream Supplies Support’ project for the 9th year, selecting eight elementary schools in Jeonbuk with poor education and welfare environment to present support funds.

Early June, Huvis selected 15 elementary schools in Jeonbuk recommended by Jeollabukdo Office of Education and conducted actual inspections, ultimately selecting eight schools based on evaluation of feasibility and need for support. Then on June 17, the company held a presentation ceremony at Chilbo Elementary School in Jeongeup, one of the selected elementary schools, with the attendance of school officials and Huvis employees.

The ‘Dream Supplies Support’ project, which has been carried out for nine years since 2012, is a project donating support funds to small schools with less than 50 students that have poor learning equipment such as sports facilities, reading rooms and computers and have difficulty teaching. “We were in desperate need to replace the old broadcast equipment for online learning due to COVID-19,” said Chilbo Elementary School Principal Mi-ae Choi. “Huvis donated this fund just in time for us to provide higher quality learning, which helped the students a great deal.”

“Hopefully, this fund helps hardworking students develop themselves despite these tough times,” said Jong Chul, Hyun, Vice President of Huvis’ Jeonju Plant. “We will continue to provide constant support and encouragement for the underprivileged people and communities of our society.”

Huvis has been carrying out the ‘Dream Supplies Support’ project since 2012 and has supported 67 schools as of this year. In addition, the company is leading various activities such as ‘Dream Briquette Delivery’ delivering briquettes to underprivileged residents, ‘Dream Project!’ offering meals to students during vacation, and ‘Dream Uniform’ providing uniforms to soccer team students.
