Huvis (CEO Shin, You Dong, 079980), the leading, cutting-edge chemical materials company, held New Year’s Kick-Off Ceremony for 2020 at the Nonhyeon-dong headquarters on the 2nd of January with over 150 Huvis employees in attendance.

“Many projects were carried out last year to secure efficiency in organizational management at the corporate level as well as future competitiveness despite the difficulties,” said Huvis CEO Shin, You Dong. “We’ve completed the first phase of integrating the Ulsan and Jeonju Plant, and implemented the glocalization strategy to enhance global competitiveness by breaking ground for the LMF (Low Melting Fiber) plant of the joint venture in the US and promoting a joint venture in China for eco-friendly food container material ECOPET.” He also stressed, “The year 2020 is the time in which we should complete the projects we have been carrying out and deliver actual results.”

In the new year’s address, Shin presented business strategies and emphasized innovations in working methods.
Huvis plans to implant environment and safety, which are the megatrends of the future industry, in its products and rebuild its portfolio with differentiated product lines to gain surpluses in all business sectors. Moreover, it will pursue development of new markets by increasing new investments in future foods and activating in-house ventures.
To this end, Huvis focused on reinforcing business innovation by installing an innovation team in all divisions such as HR, finance, research centers and production and establishing an open innovation team in the Strategic Planning Office. The innovation teams are in charge of rechecking all tasks such as work processes, customer services, production and management methods, and improving work methods to produce tangible results through radical reform.
That day, the kickoff meeting for the new year was rounded off with the award ceremony for Huvis Employee of the Year 2019 and introduction of new Huvis employees for 2020.
