Huvis (CEO Shin, You Dong, 079980), the leading, cutting-edge chemical materials company, held New Year’s Kick-Off Ceremony for 2019 at the Nonhyeon-dong headquarters on the 2nd of January with over 150 Huvis employees in attendance.

“We have succeeded in fully implementing our glocalization strategies by establishing an LMF joint venture in the US and a differentiated filament yarn joint venture in China even despite the difficulties faced last year,” said Huvis CEO Shin, You Dong. “We can now accelerate exports to the US with the greatest achievement of 0% LMF anti-dumping duties in the US. In the year 2019, we should focus on the radical reform and reinforced competitiveness of each business unit and put top priority on safety for management above all else.”

Huvis has strengthened its growth strategies for 2019 with the reshuffle. The company reformed the organization in two big frameworks to secure the company-wide efficiency of organizational management and future growth engines.
Huvis established the Strategy Planning Office by combining the Future Strategy Office and Operation Innovation Team, and further created the Strategic Sourcing Division to reinforce the strategic purchase functions in the rapidly changing raw materials market.
In addition, the company intends to establish the Leading Cutting-edge Materials Division to reinforce the advanced cutting-edge materials business beyond the existing polyester fiber materials, such as super fibers, food container materials and beauty materials, thereby turning it into a future growth engines.

The New Year’s Kick-Off Ceremony that day also included the award presentation for ‘Huvis Employee of the Year 2018’ Ho-Kyeong Lee, manager of SF Americas & Asia Team, was awarded and recognized as Huvis Employee of the Year for contributing to the increase of the company’s profits by successfully handling the suit for LMF anti-dumping duties for exports to the US.
