Huvis (CEO / Yoo, Bea Keun), the leading cutting-edge chemical & fiber materials company, announced that it has launched a ‘Dream Come-True’ project. The project helps low-income children to develop their skills and talents by providing them with books, stationery, lunch boxes, and other diverse educational needs.
In the first stage of the project, Huvis will open a ‘Dream Come-True’ class, where excellent university students in the nearby area tutor low-income middle school students in order to help them with their studies. The class is expected to provide the middle school students with high-quality educational programs and the university students with scholarships for their tuition fee. Huvis is planning to have a welcoming ceremony for the first full-scale ‘Dream Come-True’ class at Jeonju Deokil Middle School on August 30.

The ‘‘‘Dream Come-True’’ class will be offered to 30 middle school students selected for the after-school class. The selected students will take English and mathematics classes for 4 hours each, totaling 8 hours a week. The tutors for this class are university students from Chonbuk National University or Jeonju National University of Education who have been recommended by their university.
Huvis plans to run the first ‘Dream Come-True’ class for 3 months beginning in September and to expand the class to other schools from the following year.
In addition, Huvis plans to establish a ‘Dream Come-True library’ which will provide books and commodities to elementary schools in remote or isolated areas such as islands in cooperation with Jeollabukdo Office of Education. It will also provide a ‘Dream Come-True lunch box’ service, delivering meals to hungry children every day in the vicinity of Huvis’ Jeonju factory.
This year, a total of 8 schools in isolated or remote areas will be selected to become sister-schools of the ‘Dream Come-True library’. Books, desks, computers, stationery, and other commodities will be supplied, and diverse services such as maintenance work on school facilities will also be provided for the schools. The ‘Dream Come-True lunch box’ service is targeting more than 200 students, and Huvis is also in discussions with schools about providing the lunch box service during school vacations.
