On April 20, Huvis Water (CEO In-yool Shin, www.huviswater.com), the No.1 water treatment system provider in Korea, announced that a Lotte E&C consortium (Lotte E&C, Huvis Water and Honor Shine Global) submitted a letter of intent (LOI) for a sewage treatment plant project ordered by the Ho Chi Minh City government of Vietnam and held an LOI signing ceremony at the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea on April 19, in the presence of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Pham Huu Chi, Lotte E&C CEO Chi-hyun Kim, Huvis Water CEO In-yool Shin and other related officials.
In this project, a large public sewage treatment plant with a daily capacity of 650,000 tons will be constructed through public private partnership (PPP) in the Western side of Ho Chi Minh City, the economic capital of Vietnam.
"As Korea's best water treatment company, Huvis Water will use this project as an opportunity to pursue various projects for construction and operation of water treatment facilities in Vietnam, and we are determined to contribute to the development of the Vietnamese economy with our unrivaled water treatment technology," said In-yool Shin, CEO of Huvis Water.
Incorporated as a subsidiary of Huvis (CEO Bae-keun Yoo, 079980) in November 2014, Huvis Water is a leader in the Korean water treatment industry, which implements most of the power plant water treatment projects in Korea, based on its core technologies related to water treatment, including water and sewage treatment technology and desalination technology. The company is currently ramping up its entry into the global market, including winning a dye works sewage treatment project earlier this year.
