Huvis, the nation’s largest fiber materials company, appointed Huvis’ executive director, Bae Keun Yoo (53), as the new CEO on March 4th.
The new CEO, Bae Keun Yoo, is from Seoul and graduated from Kyunghee High School, Kyunghee University’s Department of Business Administration and SungKyunKwan University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. He joined SK Chemical Co., Ltd. (former SunKyong Chemical Fibers Ltd.), the parent company of Huvis, in 1983 and has worked in the finance team, the planning team and the strategy team. He built a reputation for his contribution to the successful establishment of Huvis’ consolidated organization by leading the consolidation process headquarters when the collaboration between Samyang Corporation and SK Chemical Co., Ltd. was conducted in 2000. Huvis, the independent organization in the fiber field of Samyang Corporation and SK Chemical Co., Ltd., welcomed its 10th Founding Anniversary in November of 2010. It had successfully incorporated both companies’ cultures, such as consideration, truth and ethical management and it was a model of outstanding collaboration. With the vision to reach sales of 1 trillion 5 hundred billion won in 2012 ahead, this statement was interpreted as the strengthening of will to advance as a global chemical materials company by concentrating on high value super fiber development. Huvis achieved sales of 1 trillion 3.5 hundred billion won and business profits of 44 billion won in 2010.
