In the Incheon Munhak Stadium, an exclusive stadium, grass bleachers were constructed domestically for the first time and spectators can watch baseball games from mats spread out on the natural grass. Solar panels were installed and are used to brighten interior lightning. In addition, a green homerun zone will be installed and a tree will be planted for each homerun.
The most unique part of SK Wyverns’ Green Campaign is the change from red uniforms, SK Wyverns’ team symbol, to green uniforms. Green uniforms, as a part of the Green Campaign, are uniforms made from yarn produced by recycling discarded plastic bottles.
Huvis (www.huvis.com / CEO Seong Hwan Mun), the nation’s largest polyester company, and SK Wyverns entered an agreement with Yeonil Corporation, an innovative small-medium sized business, and Orgdot Corporation, a social company, and developed the green uniforms.

This was made possible by the successful development of high-performance uniforms that recycled plastic bottles. The uniforms will be worn in an actual game for the first time in the world.
Because ‘Ecoever,’ is a yarn produced from collecting discarded plastic bottles, it reduces unnecessary use of oil resources and reduces energy emissions as well as decreases the amount of trash in landfills. It reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 30% in the manufacturing process. In addition, the production of one T-shirt is possible with about 5 or 6 plastic bottles. It is manufactured as high-performance clothing that supports the players’ athletic performance because it is developed with the nation’s top technology. Green uniform will be displayed during the Green Day Event that is planned to be held 8 times this year starting from the first Green Day Event on this coming May 28th.
