Huvis, specializing in chemical and fiber materials, has held a new installment of the “Dream Uniforms” event, which was designed to provide uniforms to promising soccer hopefuls. Huvis announced on the 10th that it had delivered soccer jerseys to Wanju Middle School in Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, with the attendance of the school's principal Cho Gyebok and guidance counselors, and Huvis employees.
The “Dream Uniforms” event, now in its 6th year, is Huvis's representative “Dream Project” that was designed to provide support for the soccer teams at schools in need in South Korea’s Jeonbuk region. Wanju Middle School's soccer team, to whom the uniforms were given, is a prestigious middle school soccer team set to lead the future of Jeonbuk soccer, having achieved feats including winning the 2018 national tournament. Wanju Middle School principal Cho Gyebok expressed his gratitude for Huvis’s donation of uniforms, saying, “Both the bodies and minds of the children had felt worn out due to the societal pressures of the COVID-19, and I am glad that Huvis’s donation of uniforms has now given them an opportunity to exercise joyfully.”
Huvis’s Jeonju plant manager Hyeon Jongcheol stated, “I hope that the region’s promising soccer hopefuls will not give up their dreams just because of adverse circumstances such as financial difficulties. Huvis will continue to come up with various support measures for the advancement of our children and our local community.”
